Just a short update to say that although Hurricane Irene is on her way north, we're pretty sure we're going to be just fine! This is my first experience in a hurricane and although I'm really intrigued, I'm also slightly nervous... We stocked up on non-perishables and have plenty of candles and batteries for flashlights in the event of a power outage which is pretty likely. We shouldn't be hit until tomorrow so until then we're planning to play lots of board games to keep occupied! Please keep our house and all those being affected in your prayers. All we can do is wait and pray for the storms to pass...
